Discussion: “National Human Rights Institutions and Social Conflict”.

Within the framework of the XXVI Assembly and Congress of the Ibero-American Federation of Ombudspersons (FIO), the National Human Rights Commission of Mexico, together with the Ombudsman’s Office of Peru, organized a discussion on social conflicts and the role of National Human Rights Institutions (NHRIs) with invited Mexican experts on the subject, as part of the activities of the Thematic Group on Social Conflicts.

The mining industry has faced new market conditions that have not been present in its landscape in recent years. The pandemic, the armed conflict in Europe and an economic crisis that has affected much of the world have put the operational capacity of mining to the test, surging into its supply chains.
