Recording and processing of personal data
General information
The Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH is a non-profit organization operating worldwide in the field of international cooperation. GIZ operates as a private company of the Union of Federal States of the Republic of Germany in support of its development policy, which aims to improve the living conditions of people around the world and to maintain the natural resources that sustain them.
Analysis of visits
This website uses statistical tools from etracker GmbH (www.etracker.com) in Hamburg, Germany. Each time a user accesses the MinSus website and each time a file is retrieved, the data relating to this process is temporarily stored and processed in a log file. Prior to storage, each data will be anonymized by changing the IP address.
In detail, the following data is stored for each access:
- technical characteristics of the browser used
- anonymous IP address,
- date and time,
- page/name of the recovered file,
- amount of data transferred,
- message of whether the access/recovery was successful
When accessing individual pages, so-called temporary cookies are used to facilitate navigation. Cookies are small text files that are stored locally in the cache of the visitor’s Internet browser. These session cookies do not contain any personal data and expire at the end of the session or at the end of a user survey, which is normally conducted every two years.
Techniques such as Java applets or Active-X controls, which allow you to track user access behavior, are not used.
The data is processed on the basis of Article 6, section 1 letter f) EU-RPGD with the legitimate interest of usage analysis to improve the website.
It is possible to object to the processing of user data for the purpose of analysing their behaviour.
By disabling data logging, a cookie is installed on the browser of the user’s device which blocks the storage of data about the site visit. In order for it to work constantly, the cookie must be installed on all browsers (e.g. Internet-Explorer, Chrome, Mozilla Firefox) and on all devices used. Please note that by deleting the cookies from your browsers the cookie is also deleted for the deactivation of data recording. In this case, the cookie must be installed again.

Contact form
When using the contact form on this page, the surname, first name, e-mail address and any data or information included in the text received through the form will be stored and used. The processing of these data is carried out according to Art. 6 , Nr.1, (b) EU-RGPD for the purpose of receiving specific requests via the contact form.
The stored data will not be given to third parties.
The data is sent to GIZ via an encrypted connection with SSL (Secure Socket Layer), making it difficult for unauthorized persons to learn about it. As with applications sent to GIZ by e-mail, applications received via the contact form will be deleted after processing and the data received will be deleted when the project is closed.
Other queries
Postal and e-mail addresses and any other information provided in connection with inquiries or orders for information material will be used exclusively for correspondence or dispatch.
Cookies
This website uses cookies, i.e. small files with short text for technical processing. Without cookies, e.g. if they have been deactivated in the browser, it is not possible to use this website in its entirety.

Duration of data storage
Personal data is periodically deleted when
- finalize their respective processing or execution of contracts.

- after the mandatory period for data and file custody has been completed.
Mention of user rights
The user has the right to refuse the registration and processing of his personal data, to consult his stored and used data, to request the correction of these data, or to demand the limitation of the use and the deletion of his personal data. In this case the respective data will be deleted.
Questions and complaints about this website can be directed to the e-mail address of the responsible person mentioned at the beginning. In addition, you have the right to contact the data protection supervisory authority to report cases. The supervisory body is the Data Protection and Freedom of Information Authority of the Federal Republic of Germany (BfDI).
