Analysis, systemization, and comparison of access to remedy mechanisms in the Andean Region

This work addresses the following SDGs:

This study compiles the various state-based grievance mechanisms – both judicial and non-judicial – and non-state based grievance mechanisms in Bolivia, Chile, Colombia, Ecuador and Peru, related to mining impacts, as well as the challenges and critical nodes at the regional level, allowing the identification of areas for intervention and future improvement. The study offers a complete catalogue of the existing grievance mechanisms in each Andean country, in addition to the analysis, identification of challenges and recommendations on how to ensure access to these mechanisms in a cross-cutting and complementary manner with a view to the resolution, transformation and prevention of mining conflicts.
